The relaxation response is the opposite of the stress response. It's a state of profound rest that can be elicited in many ways. Through regular practice you can create a relaxation response. One of the key ways to induce a relaxation response is through restorative breathing, which is the key feature of many relaxation techniques.

But inorder to know that these techniques are working you should know your body cues to makes sure the techniques are actually working.
